EHS Lead – Data Centre Project – Sweden
A specialist Nordic contractor with a strong reputation in delivering advanced data centre projects is seeking an experienced EHS Lead to drive health, safety, and environmental excellence on a major hyperscale project in Sweden.
Known for its commitment to safe, high-quality delivery in mission-critical infrastructure, this organisation offers a full-time, site-based role for an EHS professional passionate about fostering a safety-first culture on complex construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and enforcement of EHS standards, procedures, and policies in compliance with Swedish regulations and client expectations.
Conduct frequent site inspections, hazard analyses, and safety audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Manage incident reporting processes, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
Coordinate and engage with subcontractors and project teams to maintain consistent safety practices.
Deliver and track EHS training programs and awareness campaigns on site.
Ensure environmental compliance relating to waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
Support leadership in achieving zero-accident goals and continuous safety improvements.
Candidate Profile:
Certified EHS professional with qualifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or equivalent.
At least 5 years’ experience in EHS leadership within large-scale construction or industrial projects, preferably in the data centre sector.
In-depth knowledge of Swedish and EU health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and subcontractors.
Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
Proficient in English; Swedish language skills a plus.
Based in or willing to relocate to Sweden – accommodation and travel support included.
